Forbidden Fruits: The Megillah Zine is a 1 page 8 fold zine created for the 2023 Queer Purim Shpiel. The illustrations build on the actors conceptions of the characters of the traditional story as anthropomorphic jungle animals, and helped contextualize the show. Knowing that the zine would be reproduced in a low-cost, rapid laser jet printing process, I chose to create high-contrast pencil and ink illustrations.
